Rainbow Room, Assistant Teacher

Hi there, I am Jessi Haramis and I am honored to be joining the team of dedicated teachers at VGM in the Rainbow Room! Working with the tots is something I’m truly looking forward to. I’m excited to get more hands-on Montessori training and contribute to the nurturing environment here at VGM. Having the opportunity to be a substitute at VGM made me realize how much I love the montessori method, even more than when I chose it for my own children.

Our Montessori journey began at a different school, but nothing compares to the nurturing, family-like atmosphere we’ve found at VGM. My daughter Lucy (5) graduated from preschool in the Orange Room and is now enjoying kindergarten. My son Mitcho (3) has moved up from the Tot Room and is in the Orange Room as well.I chose Montessori because it is child centered, fosters independence, and allows students to learn and grow at their own pace. I have watched my children blossom while at VGM, and I am thrilled to help foster a positive, warm, nurturing environment for your little ones.

Before VGM, I spent 12 years working as a dental hygienist. My favorite part of the job has always been working with children. After taking some time off to be with my own kids, I’m excited to bring my passion for child-centered, independence-focused learning into the classroom. I live here in Libertyville, and when I’m not at VGM, I enjoy cooking, nature hikes with my family, and curling up with a good book.
