Rainbow Room and Orange Room Support Teacher
2nd year at VGM
Hello, my name is Bekah Farmakis and I’ll be returning to VGM for my second year. I found a true love and respect for the Montessori method of teaching through witnessing my daughter Kenzie’s growth as a first-year student in the Blue Room. Last year I led the Stay and Play child group for one – two year old’s at VGM as well as acted as a support teacher for various classrooms. I have many years of experience caring for young children, through running my own home childcare and teaching pre-school classes for the Libertyville Park District. Additionally, I’ve coached competitive swimming and soccer. Previously my background was in marketing, but my true passion is working with children. I am currently pursuing Early Childhood Montessori Certification at Seton Montessori Institute. This year, I will be teaching in Rainbow Room and as support teacher on Fridays in Orange Room. I have 3 children ranging from Pre-school to high school. Nicholas (16) Aubree (11) & Kenzie (4). In my spare time I enjoys running, yoga, pilates & barre as well as attending all my kids’ many sports & activities.
