Yoga
We don’t need to tell you that your child is growing up fast — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
That’s why children love our fun, creative yoga program that helps them release their extra energy in a welcoming environment — while also forming lifelong habits of focus and self-control.
In each Village Green yoga class, these simple yoga practices nurture both body and mind:
- Breathing and visualization techniques help children to improve their relaxation, concentration, and imagination.
- Yoga postures and basic stretches promote body awareness, flexibility, and strength.
As their bodies and minds develop, our young yogis find peace and joy in this popular program.

Greetings! I’m Stephanie Bersh, your dedicated yoga guide here at VGM.
Over the last two years, I have had the privilege to teach all the VGM children yoga. In our time together, we will learn all about mindfulness, breathing, and moving our bodies on the yoga mat. We practice silly poses and traditional yoga poses, but mostly we have so much fun together. On occasion, our young yogis even step into the role of the yoga guide, leading the way for the day!
My journey with VGM took root years ago when my sons joined the Green Room. As parents, we had such an incredible experience at VGM. We both loved helping in the classroom. My husband enjoyed cooking with the children, and I would teach yoga during summer camp.
As an E-RYT certified instructor, I’ve embraced the privilege of sharing yoga with all ability levels and age ranges including preschool, elementary school, middle school, and adult classes. I especially love teaching yoga to children and providing them the tools to help them connect their minds and bodies as well as grow their resilience on the yoga mat and in the classroom.
I live in Libertyville with my husband and two high school boys. When I am not on my yoga mat, you can find me outside on a walk with my pup, Parker, or with my head in a book. I absolutely love learning and look forward to practicing yoga with all the children this year!
