Roxana Marginean (Ms. Roxy)

All School Assistant Teacher

Hello! My name is Roxana Marginean, or as the children call me, Ms. Roxy. I am thrilled to be part of the Village Green Montessori family! I joined VGM in October 2024 as a permanent substitute teacher, supporting all classrooms. Starting January 2025, I’m excited to join the Yellow Room team, working alongside Ms. Kathy and Ms. Jocelyne to create a nurturing and enriching environment where every child feels valued and supported.

I have over 13 years of experience in early childhood education, beginning in 2010. Before joining VGM, I had the joy of teaching three-year-olds at the Vernon Hills Park District preschool, where I discovered my passion for building inclusive, loving spaces where children can thrive, feel safe, and grow confidently. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the spark of pride in a child’s eyes as they master new skills or form lasting friendships.

Originally from Transylvania, Romania, I spent six wonderful years in Northern Ireland, where I earned a Diploma in Management from the Northern Regional College of Ballymena. I now live in Vernon Hills with my husband, our spirited nine-year-old daughter, and our sweet cat. In my free time, I love cheering on my daughter’s swimming, baking, crocheting, and spending time with my family. I can’t wait to share this school year with you and your child—it’s going to be a wonderful journey!
